SFDS welcomes Dr. Andrew Young to present research on stress, anxiety and TMD. Receive up to 2 CEU.

Topics will include:

  • How to tactfully determine if stress/anxiety may be causing a patient’s TMD
  • Understanding how stress/anxiety can trigger or aggravate TMD
  • Learn how to train patients in reducing the effects of stress/anxiety on TMD
  • How to diagnose TMDs in general
  • How to manage TMDs in general

 

 

 

Andrew Young, MSD, DDS earned his degree in Orofacial Pain from Rutgers University.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain.  As the director of the orofacial pain curriculum, patient care, and research at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, he treats temporomandibular disorders and neuropathic pain.  He also leads the evidence-based decision-making curriculum.
