Community Involvement

The San Francisco Dental Society promotes dental health and education through numerous programs and volunteer efforts, including those of the SFDS Dental Health Committee

The San Francisco Dental Society conducts local public awareness activities through targeted community interaction. Activities include Project Homeless Connect, SFDS-SFDH School Screening Program, Remote Area Medical, SFDS Children's Poster Contest, general oral hygiene instruction and information dissemination at neighborhood health fairs and promotion of careers in dentistry at school and community career days. Note: All volunteers must be licensed SFDS member dentists.  Volunteer members will confirm that they carry liability insurance and forward a copy of Proof of Liability Declaration to the SFDS. To volunteer for one of our many programs, please complete the Community Volunteer Interest Form.
